King of Prussia, Pennsylvania: Richard Shandelman, President and
CEO of Safe & Sound, an international child safety franchise,
welcomes Jonathan Bank, a resident of Golden, Colorado to the growing
Safe & Sound franchise family. Bank will operate a territory
comprising Jefferson and Denver counties.
Bank, was a partner in a Pro-Forma franchise prior to becoming a
Safe & Sound franchisee. "I was interested in the unique
services of childproofing because I wanted to help make homes safer
for children in Colorado," he explains. "I was attracted
to the Safe & Sound franchise in particular because of the level
of expertise and enthusiasm for the business." Bank is a graduate
of Clark University in Worchester, Massachusetts where he majored
in business management. He volunteers with Foothills Fire and Rescue.
"Mr. Bank's background as both a successful franchise operator
and a volunteer firefighter make him ideally qualified to become
a Safe & Sound franchisee," commented Shandelman. All Safe
& Sound professionals are extensively trained at the corporate
headquarters to conduct room-by-room evaluations of a home for potential
safety hazards, recommend and install custom safety solutions.
Called an exceptional franchise opportunity by Small Business
Opportunities and Success magazines, Safe & Sound operated in
the suburbs of Pennsylvania before the principles franchised the
concept in 1998. After spreading to the West coast in 1999, the
first international location opened in Mexico in 2000. Shandelman
and his partner Peter Lipschutz are among the country's foremost
experts in the fields of child and product safety. It is the first
franchise in the industry to offer comprehensive education programs
for parents in addition to childproofing services. Franchisees are
provided with extensive training, on-going support and a company-wide
comprehensive and professional liability insurance program.
